Hello All,

So I am relatively new to guild wars and I have never farmed.

I wanted to try the 130hp dervish build. But I have a few questions.

Is it best to start a new character solely for farming? Or Do I best use my character which I am completing the main storyline with? (I am just past the kodunur crossroads mission).

As, I have never started a new character in a chapter in which I already had a character, I wonder, can you (with your new character) visit the places another character has previously unlocked?

Also, The place where I read about the 130hp dervish build suggested farming in marga coast.

Also, I want to get the unique scythe mehdi's vow, from mehdi in the barbarous shore. How often does it drop?

- just buy another set of armor (not flashy, just what you need) and switch between your 2 sets for farming+questing/missions.

for the rest, nothings really hard in GW. so go for it.

If you mean creating a new dervish, absolutly not. If you would prefer to try a different professions for farming then it might be worthy (in time), as dervishes are not the best farmers.

No. Your new toon will be lvl 1, starter armor, starter weapons, r0 sunspear, starter skills, etc. The only gain he/she will get from his/her predecessor will be (except from everything you could place in the xunlai chest) that his/her hero will have access to more skills, as heroes can use any unlocked skill on the account, and the possibility of learning unlocked skills using tomes.

The 130hp dervish is quite good at farming bosses for greens in normal mode and elite tomes in hard mode. You might however wish to complete the campaign before starting farming - that would give you more possibilities.
